Ashleigh Kennedy, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Ashleigh Kennedy, Ph.D., is a seasoned entrepreneur with a postdoctoral fellowship from the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the University of Waterloo in brain activity (EEG). Ashleigh is a Stanford University alumni where she holds the 400m sprint record for indoor track and field. Before founding Neurovine, Ashleigh ran a successful consulting company that validated new innovations for health technology startups and large medical institutions.

Matthew Kennedy, Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Matthew Kennedy, MD, MSc, is a family physician with a special focus on concussion care and research. He has a Master's degree in Biomechanics with extensive clinical research experience. The clinical need for centralized multi-modal care and cognitive pacing in concussion was recognized through his medical practice, and it was from this pain point that Neurovine was built.

Lou Pino, Chief Innovation Officer

Lou Pino, Ph.D., has 15 years of digital health experience innovating health information technology, medical devices, and products - recognized with 11 patents. He is the Chief Intellectual Property Officer and also leads the Data Science team at Neurovine to develop algorithms to help concussion patients recover. The team applies machine learning and statistical analysis on EEG and other physiological signals. Previously he has led the development of algorithms for wearable devices including EEG headband (Muse) and heart rate variability signals from a Smartwatch. He pioneered the use of Big Data in the study of neuroscience biomarkers. He received funding from the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada to develop and validate a cognitive assessment mobile app. His Ph.D. work focussed on the classification of electrophysiological signals using machine learning techniques.

Heather van Staalduinen, Chief Marketing Officer

Heather van Staalduinen is the Head of Marketing and Communications at Neurovine. She is a highly motivated marketing professional with a thorough understanding of marketing automation, business development, multi-channel campaign management, project management, and client relations. Her mission is to build a foundation for company growth while establishing Neurovine as a thought leader in the brain health industry and to spread the message of optimized, simplified, brain recovery.

Patrick Leckey, Chief Technology Officer

Patrick Leckey has extensive experience in Engineering with 10 years in Engineering Management. Pat is highly technical - growing SaaS applications with 200M+ monthly page views, with stacks including Java, Python, Node.js, PHP (Laravel), React and Angular.
